    Default PC - Entropia Universe

    PC - Entropia Universe

The Game is a very addictive game, be careful. Great fun and graphics to back it. the best part of the game is that unlike others when you get a great loot, you really have somthing to cheer about.
well for highest all time high hunting, mining or crafting global all clear well over $10,000 USD for a - Mob / Bomb drop / Craft.
Items can even have great value you could find a gun worth around $15,000 USD if sold to another player.

Don't play it for the money, the Entropia Community is great also and the new missions are just an added excitment to the game.
The game unlike before is now new player friendly so if your new to it or have tried before and couldn't get the hang of it its changed for the best. Its free to play but if you want to speed things up a little you can also deposit.
Dont take my word for it come check it out.

    See you in game,

    Inno

Except for how the entire focus and structure of the games are nothing alike.

Guys, please take the praise people give Entropia Universe with a grain of salt. The exchange of in-game currency to real currency changes many, many aspects of the game that set it miles apart from other MMOs. Some of you may enjoy the game, and it is a very nice game if it suits you, but it will disappoint the majority of you.

iv been waiting 45 days and still haven't gotten my bank withdrawal processed yet. I actually liked the game but taking 100 years to give me my money is stupid.

Yeah I heard they are a little slow this summer :/
The standard is around 45-60 days though i think. They say 30 business days which doesn't count weekends or the bajillion holidays they have in Sweden.

I withdrew 33000PED last fall and it was around 45ish days maybe a little more before it got into my bank account.

Isn't MindArk having money problems? They're trying to sell Planet Calypso, the whole banking plan is being delayed due to funding issues, and apparently they reported a negative cash flow for 2009? I don't know how well things were in 2010 but things didn't look good.

Anyhow, I tried EU a couple years ago and although I could see the potential, it's very easy to get lost (metaphorically and literally). I'm sure it'd be a lot more fun under the guidance of an experienced Guild or group of friends.

I believe someone with a lot of experience was trying to form a small group here on OnRPG? I was always curious to see how that went.

Been to EU for about 1.5 years, first 6-8 months (deposited ~300$ total) i was like "whoah this is so cool, and the new graphics are awesome! So many different creatures, plants and the whole scenery is gorgeous ^_^".
After that i was lucky to get $ 1.6k from just killing 1 mob (HoF). I've made a withdrawal of 1/2 of the sum (received money in ~30 days). The next day i've made a big mistake in trying my crafting fortune out ^^ lost ~400-500$ within 1 hour of crafting :P
After that failure i continued to hunt mobs, and spent my last money (300-400$) within like 3 months. I took a 6 month break, then returned, deposited ~200$ more and i didnt actually lose em, i just got really bored - killing thousands of mobs weekly with getting a lot of Globals (even up to 200+ PED) was not satisfying as i knew that the real win is a HoF of 15+k PED which is extremely rare for an ordinary player. So i quit ^^

Tbh, i was playing as an addict from the very beginning... I've cought up "veteran people who play 2 years) within first 6 months. I funded $ pretty a lot and was also lucky to not lose em within 2-3 months of hardcore gaming.
I've tried almost all available hunting tactics, different radars, clocks, schemes and all of em are BS It's just a pure gambling, you can try to make your gametime more cost-effective, nothing more, except of if u play 24/7 and have tons of $ and brilliant sense of "pool theory". I was lucky to track 2 Leviathan ATH HoFs and i actually was hunting em 20/7 and knew for sure that ATH is close, but still some other guys took the jackpot twice D:

If u really want to PLAY the game, prepare to fund atleast 60-100$ monthly and hope to be the lucky guy. U can also do the "sweating" thing for about 2 months, 3-4 hours every day and u'll get enough PEDs to play the game for about 1-2 weeks or less ^^

If u just want to make $, fund as much as u can and run the trading business. This is the safest way to earn $ in EU ^^

Someday, if i have nothing to do and have some spare money, i could return as the game is really unique and has the greatest community ^_^ Btw, for depositing over 500$ MindArk mailed me a gold security card so i will never forget them

    EU - Entropia Universe
Global- global message showing that player got 50+ PEDs from craft/mine/hunting
HoF- Hall Of Fame message, shows highest globals of the day
ATH- All Time High, the list of biggest HoFs ever.

Calypso is a decent place to start there are plenty of low level mobs you can sweat or hunt right near the starting city.

It is a complex game and very difficult to master, but very rewarding when you do. (in terms of self accomplishment)
You will not learn anything in 10 minutes, even 10 days you will still have seen just the tip of what this game is about.

Most games these days are directed at the 13yr old adhd stereotype and I am glad that this game is designed for a more mature and intelligent playerbase, it makes the gameplay all that much more fun for me.

I used to play the game actively for several months as well. Throughout that time I was sweating for hours on end and never made it off the starter equipment or made any meaningful progression with my skills. And that was before the engine change. Back when sweating was ten times more profitable than it is now.

It's not a game for people who are smart and mature. It's for people who have disposable income. Once you start pumping money into it the game transforms into one of the longest grinds in the history of gaming. The only reason people have trouble figuring it out is because there's very little documentation on the game, especially compared to other games.

Sweating is not the best way for a new non-depositng player to make money in the game. It is just the easiest to do without any thought or attention to detail.

It's the only way to get money when you start out. The only thing you can get for free in the game is sweat and fruit. Everything else requires you to have money first.

It is just that you have to concentrate and pay attention, you cant just leave your guy on auto sweat while you watch a movie or something.

like all things, the more effort you put into it the better you will do.

Just to make your point stronger, I'll tell you what happened 2 days ago.
I didn't have much time for EU lately, but I logged in for like 45 minutes.
I grabbed my Finder and Extractor and went to Corinth (Cape Corinth to be exact) and started my regular mining-stones/fruits-walk.
found 203 Nissits and 32 Brukite (both in a SINGLE resource)..
the 203 Nissits are 5.77 PED according to the MU and can be easily sold for 5 PED, 6-8 PED if you wish to wait a few days on the auction.
the Brukite was just 32 units, but the Brukites MU is over 500,000% (over 700k% today, over 500k% monthly/weekly) so it comes to about 2.30 PED.
so at the lowest point I got 5+2 PED from those stones in 45 minutes while I was training my mining skills.
you could pay your early mining (with Genesis Rookie Finder/Extractor) just by doing this thing and you would gain a lot more PED by doing this than by sweating.
don't get me wrong though, I do sweat a lot, I like sweating when I'm semi-AFK watching TV and the laptop is by me or something.
it's fun, it's more casual, people talk there and it gives me some time to have a chit-chat with the soc I'm in.
but if you want profit, you definitely want to do mining-stoens/fruits-walk (WALKING, not running, you'll miss many stones/fruits if you run).
plus, it's always fun to find such a big pile of Nissit like 2 days ago :P

I got my gear (weapon, ammo, full pixie, etc), I got an hovercraft (which I actually sold last month), I got the PED I need for hunting/mining and I didn't deposit a dime.
it's possible as long as you do things right, which I couldn't do without my soc, that's why I will keep saying my best tip to any newbie like me, would be to get into a society.
most of the people are very matrue in this game (literally), most of the players (at least the ones I've met) were very nice and helpful.
be nice to other players ingame and they'll be nice to you, get into a soc and don't be shy to ask questions.
I don't do a single thing without asking my soc mates for guidance, it's an extremely complexed game and even after a few months I still need the veterans' help.

The game is not hard because of complicated mechanics or a steep learning curve, it's hard because it does not reward you enough to keep playing. The only way to make any economic progression is to either get lucky or find a creative way to make more money than the developers intended.

Entropia Universe is a game that is designed for all players in it to lose. No matter how much you love the game or have fun in it, the basic premise of the game is deeply flawed and nothing will be able to change it.

Having a reason for a problem does not make that problem go away. I'd also like to note that Entropia Universe has never been marketed as a gambling game. The game attempts to set up an image of being a normal MMO that you can make money off of, which targets the exact opposite demographic the game will appeal to.

So what is the actual goal of the game? Like are there wars or something like that or is it basically a stock and trade market simulator lol?

The goal is to try to get perfect 7's on the slot machine that is this game.

You more or less spend your time trying to get your skills up and get high-end gear so you can hunt/mine/craft better.

Just logged in after nearly a year of not logging in.
There's different planets now? I'm sure there was only Calypso when I used to play years ago (I could be wrong)

I've got my full pixie armour, but no weapon. I went straight to sweating, and found out they've changed that too.

I feel like I might be better off just starting a new character, and getting some guidance; it will probably be easier on me.
