Default Blacklight Retribution CB Date Announced

    http://www.onrpg.com/MMO/Blacklight-...ounces-CB-Date

Exciting news. We're just a month away from Blacklight Retribution going into closed beta (Nov 10th). And since it's Perfect World Entertainment.. there's a pretty good chance that there will be nothing 'closed' about this beta.

I rarely get excited about shooters but this one stands out as a hell of a game.

Our forum moderator Spunkify is in Firefall beta and he confirms that the game still has a lot of technical issues being ironed out.

I'd say get the best of both worlds. Blacklight is already refined and will be ready for a damn good launch in November. Then you can check out Firefall when it's brought up to a launch worthy state in 2012.

Yeah i heard from a friend of mines about firefall being very buggy.
I'll definately play both just dont know much about Blacklight lol. Is this fps game going to be like the other F2P fps games; when you play the game you get in-game currency to rent a gun for a certain period of time and only way for a permanent gun is with cash shop?
I really hope they dont do that to a shooter games, unfortunately alot of F2P fps shooters have that system >.<.

Any news DizzyPW? thanks in advance!

But the gameplay is nothing like it, which disappoints me a bit.
    Looking forward to it, though.
Never heard of it, what is it?

It seems like a free version of Blacklight Tango Down with a few new elements. I bought the game on steam when it came out. It as a fun shooter with interesting aspects to reduce the effectiveness of camping. The only reason I am not playing BTG now is because no one else is still on it.

I guess it makes more sense to change the business model to that of a f2p game with micro transactions considering how it did in sales and retention of it's player-base.

I don't know anything about the business model for acquiring guns via cash shop. We'll have to send a reviewer in around the time it goes live to test it out (but I'm sure if you care enough you'll find out before we can tell you haha).

From everyone I've talked to, this game plays just like its predecessor but with a lot of kinks worked out.
