Actually i like Skyrim, the freedom to do anything instead of dungeon dungeon and dungeon.

personally i thought oblivion was and is the worst/shittiest tes game to date, the one thing i did like about it was modding that was it.

I have traveled across the map from the end of the tutorial area, to the city where everyone is having nightmares and havent found one village or town, except for whiterun or whatever. I miss oblivion, the landscape was beautiful and it showed variety and there were hidden things like little cabins and stuff like that with old creepy women, crazy shit, and media references.
you should got the game for PC. There going to be more content on PC. DLC mod town people create. new weapons. maybe mods to fix the horse problem. taming dragon mod

Didn't they have separate teams designing each dungeon to make sure that none of them turned out the same way?
Oblivions dungeons was made by 1 designer.
Skyrims 150+ dungeons was made by 8 designers.

Oblivion was nice, But IMO skyrim has way more feel for the lore and the setting.
When i played Oblivion it just felt like everything was the same. Dungeons, mapping and all that, sure mountain stuff was kinda different but it still felt the same to me. Best thing i can say the happened with Oblivion was Shivering isles, felt pretty different and refreshing(Maybe because it reminded me of morrowind with the giant shrooms and such...).

Not gonna lie, some dungeons feel like rehashes of other dungeons in skyrim though. Some parts even feel like copies maybe it's just me though....

I blame consoles... Skyrim is great... but is just lacks content, everything just feels short. Both Skyrim and Oblivion lacked the complexity that Morrowind had.

Skyrim was ruined because of consoles.

If this was a PC only game it would have had a more oppurtintity to look outside the bounds of the consoles capacity.

Not saying it's a bad game.. I love it..

skyrim cries out for a New Vegas-esque hardcore mode. there's all this food lying around, and no real reason to pick it up, and all those deer in the wild and no real reason to hunt them :/

hope someone can mod that in.

This is an incredibly occult opinion, but in my case this is the order.

    Morrowind>Skyrim>>>>>>Oblivion

I mean morrowind's spell system allowed you to confront one problem 100 different ways, skyrim doesn't let you make spells but you have a variety to pick from so you can still confront one enemy many ways, Oblivion took 40% of the creativity out of spellmaking...

The only quest line in oblivion that I just LIVED for was the dark brotherhood and it was almost inarguably one of the best in the elder scrolls series.

    to be honest:

skyrim is good, but not the best game ever made or the best elder scrolls title

morrowind is still alot better in terms of being free and loot and etc.

there are some things about skyrim that are really annoying (op crafting system) which make the game feel casual and too noobfriendly
