Kinda sick of WoW & RIFT and their overpriced subscriptions, still looking for a P2P mmorpg running with F2P model concurrently, is EQ2 the one? I tried LineAge2, didn't like korean grind games.

P2P games are cheaper than F2P. ;J
Ya, I prefer quality mmorpg with optional p2p subscription and able to login anytime, like EQ2 and Line Age 2 or DCUO, also Allods Online looks alright but the servers are empty and dead most of the time. I don't wanna pay 15USD then only login 10 times in a month like in RIFT or WoW, rather spend it on skins or avatars for LoL/HoN.
Im interested on an opinion from someone who actually plays the game, or has played for a long period of time.
Reputation: 119I love everquest 2, I pay to play for it though and it's one of the mmo's I usually go back to over and over every month or 2 lol rift being another one...I usually flip flop between those two. Anyways, worth it to play as f2p? Mehhh...it's up to you. If you like one of the free classes then sure go for it but I personally don't like any of the free classes except for brigand and even that gets a bit old pretty fast.
I found myself liking illusionist a lot more and that's what I have been sticking to for the past while on and off. The exp curve is perfect, there's like over a hundred dungeons or so, endgame is very fun from what I hear, can't go wrong with it really. If there is a downside for me personally I'd have to say the combat can feel kind of clunky sometimes but that's why I play illusionist lol
Reputation: 119You realize eq2 is 15 bucks a month if you p2p right? And for dcuo afaik you pay 10 bucks and you get the "extra stuff" which is pretty much just an extra power set.
I agree with you on the costs though, people sometimes act like 15 bucks a month is too much to charge for a game you already pay for anyhow. Then again there are people who don't have a job yet for whatever reason and they're parents won't give them money for a subscription.
