tl;dr Assassins Creed 1 for me?

Can someone explain the first game in some detail for me? I'm finally getting into the series (just got the second one with DLC via Playstation Plus discount) and I'm starting with the second game.

Generally I like to play through the first one...but I don't have the patience to wait, nor do I want to spend money on it really.

So, can someone just explain it to me real quick? Please and thanks~

Altair assassinates templars for the Assassin Order in Masyaf. He eventually learns there is a hidden agenda planned by the Leader of the order. Comes back to kill the leader, and he attacks you with "The Apple". You kill him, game ends.

Desmond was looking for the location of the apple, did not find it through Altair's memory, and moves on to find it with Ezio.

I think that basicly covers everything.

Thanks! That doesn't make any sense to me, but its because I haven't started the second one yet either. So once I start I'll come back and read it and then be like "ohhhhhhh, I get it."
