I treat women differently. I am a gentleman and open the door for them, offer them my jacket when its cold.

There's a difference between making a generalization and believing something that will taint your view of the world.
I could say all men are pigs to every guy I saw and those that take offense to it will indicate such. But it's totally different if I said all men are pigs and I believed it.
