Is Game Informer any good?

I've had a friend sucker me into wanting the Gamestop pro card thing (I don't mind paying $15 for it...he gets mad good rewards if he sells it to me since hes an employee) and I'm just wondering if the magazine is anything I should actually be excited for?

I had a Nintendo Power subscription for like 4 years, but never read Game Informer.

Whatchu all think?

I have game informer they have some good cover art and do good previews of upcoming games, and its pretty funny sometimes. But you cant really 100% trust there reviews.

GI used to be good when it first came out. I would've said go with GamePro for a magazine, but they are no longer around as of late last year.

If you were just a PC gamer, I would've suggested PC Gamer, but you probably want something that covers consoles as well.

Yeppppp, PS3 is all I game on really...and the Vita come February.

I bit the bullet and just went for it tonight. I get a certain % off on used games now, I helped out my buddy, and I got a subscription to a magazine I might enjoy.

I got one issue, its not terrible. I never really read too in depth as far as reviews go anyway...

I do like to make collages, and this will provide for some excellent collage material.

I'm sure I'll make the $15 back in no time (buy 2 get 1 free deal) and then the magazine will just be a bonus anyway.
