SOE games licensed by alaplaya

It is the mothercompany of the portal alaplaya. They made a news on the portal as well. Seems like they get all SOE licensed for EU. So for me it means they will do them... huge thing. DCUO, Planetside 2 and the next Everquest are really big big things to do.

no point for Europe mmorpg company to host none of the Europe player even touch the Europe server they all way go to the USA server

I'm still a bit skeptical though. Alaplaya always has been a sort of low profile publisher so things might go either way. ><

Other than that really derp post. I wouldn't count on anything good to come from this. Alaplaya really blows when it comes to publishing and keeping track of their games. Just look at Avalon Heroes, S4 League, and Land of Chaos Online. Those games bombshell'd hard.

What are you talking about? the EU servers are packed, in fact, they are even more populated than the US ones.
that's even what SOE said (the massive playerbase caused the issues on the European servers about a month ago).
And let's say you're right about DCUO, personally, me and my friends will NEVER play on an NA server if there's an EU server up and running.
this is simply pointless to play on a server with a totally different timezone, not to talk about the high latency.

it might not be so bad... recently pro7 german enteritainment company has been hosting quite alot of mmos and they even advertise on their TV channel all the time (immagine seeing florensia and S4league's advertisement on tv all the time)
planetside 2 is what im looking forward to (but so far prosevengames doesnt have any p2p games, so kind of afraid how they will turn it into a cash shop game and screw up the balance)
sidenote on nexon:
nexon pretty much screws europeans on everything - updates coming about severals years later(MS, mabinogi etc.), item mall crap costing alot more (mabi store for example everything costs exactly 1000NX more than in US server + 1€=1,27$).....so nexon is horrible to europeans and thats a fact
