Open world won't do in this kind of game you can't make that huge amount of monsters to open world your pc will gone crazy . Dungeons look nice, Pvp,Pk because of game style-engine is fun like no other. Most off OpenWorld game force you to go from 1 place to other and make illusion of open world, but it more closed than this type of game. (Ye tera got open world and cuter graphics, but when it comes to fighting it's to slow compare to c9, you can't make Arial combos, so tera more Get equip and win then C9)
Gender Lock - yep from 1 point of view it's bad, but imagine huge Warrior making warden frozen kiss. i would defiantly lose in pvp (would defiantly fall from chair because laughing). Also korean developers in interview said they thinking about make gender select.
CashShop - don't sue game before you even played, i played Kr version for 2 years and didn't spend 1 bucks in cashshop (just couldn't ) there only items to make life a bit easier like inventory extension or cute costumes. + you always can buy them from other players in Auction house (there's no binding of cash shop items) and if you get drop item and sell it you can get lot's of cash shop items just like that (full costume costs about 6kk-12kk) depending on when it were released and it's popularity and 1 simple blue weapon (60lvl) without enchanting costs 16kk.

the game looks decent but saw that only 10,000 people can beta test it. i won't be one of them cause i didn't find out until today.
