    Default Dungeon Defenders

Has anyone played this on PS3 or elsewhere?

It looks fun, and its over 50% off...I think I'll have enough left over with the other games I'm looking at getting.

I'm not sure how I feel about it though.

Looks like cyber7chink got into it recently so you probably could join up with him. http://www.onrpg.com/boards/190396.html

It looks fun and I was thinking about getting it myself.

I am currently playing it and its quite fun as a single player.

    Pros
Diablo style drops that can be upgraded. Thats including pets.
Twitch base combat hack n slash.
    Manual stat allocation
fun pregen toons (with a add on pack, you will get gender opposites of the main heroes)
Easy on the eyes graphics that give you a bit of immersion.
    Dungeon crawl instance.
Tower defense phases and strategy (you can boost these stats with gear/toon/pet buffs
If you get all the DLC, you will have tons of fun.

    Cons
multiplay is a ghost town unless you can get something pre-planned.
pay attention to the difficulty of the toon you play. Start off with either a apprentice type or a squire type.

Does steam and ps3 version use different servers? On steam I complete all the game and challange on Insane always on multiplayers in 4.
I didn't bought the new dlc with Nightmare difficult because they turned DD in a farm farm farm farm farm game.

Apparently Andriod, iOS, PC and PS3 all can play with each other (everyone but XBOX basically). I'm prob going to get it on PS3 in a lil bit.

    Edit:

Man, if I had know how cool this game was I would have gotten it a long time ago.

Yeah I'm actually glad Cyber and Oister mentioned it here because I might have overlooked it. It's definitely awesome though.

Oh and Cyber I got some tips on how to use the characters, well it's just my initial impressions but it's been working for me.

The Squire's Spike/Bouncer Blockade is good for dealing constant damage to big monsters while keeping them at bay. They're more effective against the smaller monsters as they will keep trying to get past them and get pushed back while taking damage. Archers though will shoot at them so you should manually take em out.

They are also good for protecting some of the more powerful and damage towers by placing them right in front of them. The Towers will attack right through the barricades you set up without damaging them.

The Huntress Proximity mines are very strong and can severely damage a group of monsters instantly. if you place em along the path monsters take, they can pretty much lock down that path. You can increase the amount of damage they do, the detonation count or the AoE to make em more effective. Her Inferno trap is good for causing continual damage on a monster in it's AoE. It's best to place one right in front of a barricade so that while the monster is trying to break it down, it's being damaged by the trap.

The Monk is mostly support and should probably focus on keeping traps active. His Ensnare Aura is massively useful as it slows down enemies movements and actions, reducing the damage your defenses take. It also makes enemies walking through the Aura take more damage since it takes them longer to get to where they want to go. Using an Inferno Trap or an Electric Aura on top of that makes it very lethal.

A nice trick to cover a corridor is to set a ranged damaged dealing tower behind a barricade, then Ensnare the area in front of the barricade, along with an Inferno trap or some Proximity Mines.

Traps and Auras are easier to repair their uses as long as you stay on top of things and have some decent movement speed. Towers and blockades are harder to stay on top of if they are being attacked.

There's a whole bunch of different strategies though, you just gotta play around and see what works best for you.

    I've been enjoying this game.

Although I've taken to it extremely casually so I only tend to hop into a game if one of my friends invites me or if there's a reason to run around beating on baddies. Mostly, I've just been leveling my Countess.

I don't yet have anyone over 20 yet, but I am still having fun in the first few maps.

I have slowly been driving through looking forward to the later maps since that's where the game seems to have most of its strategy and fun.
