Default My thoughts on EvE online

    heyo,

I want to share my thoughts about the game. I noticed in character creation that it had amazing graphics, reminded me of APB for some reason. Also when I got in game there are a lot of text and buttons, I like simple interfaces better.
However I found it hard to play with all those buttons, just isn't my style.

Not a very good thread. You need to formulate yourself better on what you think about the game. The bad and the good.

EvE have changed the whole UI. I played EvE before the changes so I have no idea how it works out. But I found the UI to be easy to use after a little practice. The game itself is very slow paced and you may just go on the internet and watch anime, series or something else and come back when you are done traveling or mining.

You have your own ship you fly around with, which you can upgrade with tons of items. The best way to get better ships early on is by doing missions. You get into the Destroyer category very quickly. After that you are pretty much on your own. What do you want to play as? Its all up to you.

The game uses a skill system which takes irl time to learn. One skill can take a couple of minutes to hours, to days to weeks and months, depending what it is. You can learn every skills in the game. But you may not want to do that since that will take about 22 years to get all skills down.

EvE online also have a good economy. You craft and sell and travel from systems to systems to make deals and sell your valuable items. You have your own stations to gather your materials and ships (Which can be attacked by enemies)

The PvP is probably a much more pleasant experience if you don't want to bore yourself with mining, flying, exploring, doing missions, etc. But if you lose a ship you end up losing millions if not billions of ingame money, which can take days or weeks to gather if you gather nonstop.

There are just so much to do in the game. Awesome community, awesome gameplay, pvp, sandbox, etc. The only drawback is the slow paced with a very steep learning curve.

What i hated about EVE most of the time is the interface. Often even when you're doing missions you will find your entire screen cluttered with boxes. The game isn't very actiony, its more for the people who like spread sheets.

I recall starting to feel that way about Star Wars Galaxies by the time I slowly stopped playing.

EvE, I've heard people say that about the game as well -- or at least, about how this was a game that sometimes people would get up at 4am to be part of a massive fleet action.
