That whole used game thing is guaranteed BS all three console manufacturers would need to be on board with this because why would a consumer buy the new Xbox when they can buy the PS4 or Wii-U where they can still play used games.... Microsoft would be shooting themselves in the foot big time.

I can only hope you're right. I can't remember the last new game I bought.

    Skyrim I think.

my only problem with people buying used games is the fact that the developer never sees any of the money from the sale its 100% pure profit to who ever sold the game, i don't think making it impossible to play used games is the way to go though i have actually grown to like the idea behind paying 10$ or what ever for access to online features ect.

im pretty much a 95% pure pc gamer though so used isn't a option even if i wanted to.

@blaze, they will NEVER stop pirating the more companies try the more reasons it gives people to pirate all that pirate "proofing" does is cause more issues for the legit buyer where as the pirate gets a much greater experience overall.

Steam CEO Gabe Newell hits the nail right on the head when it comes to piracy. "Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem."
