Wow, I never realized how beautiful and poetic German is. I also hear there is a lot of amazing German literature that just isn't the same when translated, I can't wait to be able to read a book in German.
I also just finished the first disc of the Michel Thomas method, it isn't that bad so far. When playing some snes roms in German I have been able to pick out a few things here and there that I understand, hopefully that gets better.
