Hey guys... Long-A*s time no see... How is everyone been?

I been busy playing Diablo 2 MODS but was looking at TERA recently and it looks like a bad *** game. I was thinking of pre-ordering the collectors edition but wasn't sure about any reviews. I haven't been on OnRPG for over 4 months and i just noticed the people raving about this game.

Is it that good and for the people who are playing it, is it worth the money and time?

It seems to be a lot different than WoW or one of those types of games..

well it is kinda bad as but im alrady bored to hell out if it and im only playing CBT. my recommendations is buy the game but not the collectors edition it is not that uber great to waste cash on collectors edition.

It's a generic game. The only thing that makes it 'unique' is its 'fast-paced' combat system, and its graphics. Of course, I would look to other games for both of those aspects.

Same old thing; Hunt x amount of enemies, and collect y items. Boring quest system. I also don't care if other people claim that the game gets better, but a game should ALWAYS be great from the very beginning.

well said supersonix9 every mmo is the same now days same old Boring quest system hunt 10 monky farts from 10 uggly monkeys that are on the same spot every time. and in the end every one is there for the end game witch is pvp. So why not make mmos where u start with epic gear and only pvp cuz that what ppls only are after anyway.

Thanks for the feedback guys - I think I am going to pass. I hate "grind-fest" games and by your feedback, it sounds absolutely boring and repetitive. I will pass... Back to Diablo 2 Mod Aftermath

well it is not as it is grind-fest but it´s like all other mmos with a more hack and slah combat in fact Tera went bad in Kora cuz it was not gindy enugh >.<

TERA is fantastic. YES, maybe the quests are nothing new but seriously, show me a game except Guild Wars 2 that has another approach to this. You want all to be perfect and when someone DOES try and change something (combat system) it STILL is not enough for you. You just keep on complaining. Well maybe if you dislike all the "old stuff" so much you shouldn't be playing MMO's in the first place.
By saying TERA is grindy I can see you didn't even play it AT ALL. Because THIS (TERA) is the LEAST grindy game ever, seriously. It's so incredibly easy to level up, it's a joke, really. The combat is amazing and actually makes you want like killing monsters and engaging in PvE and PvE unlike so many other games. After all how is it not fun to smash your sword into a giantic group of enemies, having to dodge and use proper combos in order not to die. Did you people ever kill a BAM? In NO game EVER have I felt such huge feel of accomplishment after killing a monster yet. It is mind blowing. Yes, TERA may not be everyone's cup of tea. Heck, it may not be the best MMO, that's for sure.
But saying it's BAD is just ridiculous. TERA is very polished and a great lot of fun. Don't bash it if you know nothing of it. The political system wasn't even implented yet, and that is a huge feature and yet you people talk smack. At least give valid points and explain. Cause what you did was really HILARIOUS.

Yes, I like TERA? Am I a fanboy? I wouldn't say so. I just enjoy playing it right now. Til another game pops up that I will maybe find more enjoyable to play. Hell....... people nowadays are just too picky. ><

The combat system is new for a polished westernized MMO. The basic principle of the entire genre is different.

It's like complaining about getting a brand new gaming computer and returning it cause it still uses a mouse and keyboard. If TERA was a new gaming computer it would be controlled like Minority Report. Yes, it is still a computer but IT'S SO MUCH BETTER!

tbh, all games after WoW did not bring anything "new" because WoW offered everything.

so many mmos claimed to bring something fresh and new, but when WoW set the standards, they failed to even come close.

all mmos have something that they can brag about, or claim to be good at. Tera, in all its splendor, offers fast-paced no-target combat~ which not all mmos have these days.

people say that GW2 will bring refreshing and new stuff to the market. whether it will or not will be determined when it goes live.

there will always be people that love a game or hate a game.

All-in-all, TERA is basically an open world Vindictus. Which really isn't as spectacular as it sounds. Latency is a huge factor in the game, so unfortunately, if you want to PvP, you'll have to deal with that.

Actually TERA beats GW2 in EVERY aspect and I don't see lag in huge guild vs guild war....

I think his comments were right on! Yes, MMO's have been done before. TERA collectively packages and presents it better than the generalization 'you people' presented.

Interesting expectations for this game...The "something new" in this game as far as one aspect is the combat system, which I do find pretty fun compared to other MMO's that I have played. Its only Closed Beta so other things that are "something new" about the game have not been implanted into the game yet (Political system for one).

Everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinion of course, but I think instead of saying the game does not offer anything new( I don't know exactly what new things certain people expect when it comes to MMO's besides some of things TERA offers), I think the correct thing to say is that you may not like "new" features the game offers. It may just not be enough to keep you interested..which is fine.

I wont compare it to GW2, because GW2 combat system is just polished version of WoW's, it's still old tab targeting , and combat feel sluggish, I've tried it at Gamescom last year, it's pretty much disappointing for someone who wants to see something new, not to mention the graphic feel outdated.

the only appealing thing about GW2, that it has no sub fee.

for someone who is willing to spend more for better game, definitely not my choice.
