Did anyone go to GDC? I went for the first time and I can see why developers/companies would want to go. But I don't see why normal people would want to go. It's really not that great. For $250 I would rahter use my money elsewhere.

I'd love to go to one of these things, but I unfortunately live too far away from any major cities.
Toronto and NYC are 6+ hour drives. Chicago is even more...and then the west coast is wicked far lol.

I wouldn't be too excited for these things. I've wanted to go to one my entire life cause I love games and what could be better than GDC right? I think I set my hopes up too high, I know E3 is suppose to be way better. Wish I could go to that instead.

E3 changed a lot, like 4 years ago they tried to go back to its formal glory but never really succeeded. It's a shame that it changed but it opens a lot of opportunities for other companies
