I havent. I think the normal version of the game is enough. The ingame rewards for the other versions aren't all that great either so imo the normal version will suffice

I agree on this, CE Edition has nothing special.
Everything you see in CE you can get in the game with gold.

As stated by Arenanet, you wont be able to buy power in the game(only cosmetic items that do not do anything), everything can be acquired in game with gold.

Also about the Wolf Elite skill in CE, it will be on 180-250 sec cooldown, with like 10-15sec duration and it dissapears, and it wont be as powerful as other elite skills.

Wolf will be the same as Ranger pets, and if you played ranger you know there not that good lol.

Prob the Most Powerful Elite skill i seen in GW2 Beta was Elementallist Tornado, when you activate this thing you **** face... so yeah lol...

I've been reading GW2guru today and came across a thread talking about how stores near them are already sold out for the limited collectors edition. I had planned on waiting till april 10th to get a limited collectors edition but after reading that I feel like I've probably missed my chance at getting one (which frustrates me). Has anyone here gone to the store to pre-order the pre-purchase?

Even if you missed the chance at retail, I have no doubt you can still get it digitally on the 10th. It is, after all, digital.

GW2 has been delayed until early 2013.... After i finally saw how good this game looks it has been delayed and the horrible wait begins. Not sure if this delay will do them any good.

They really need to be ... less vague when they talk about this. It comes off "region lock"-ish upon initial inspection, even though it doesn't appear to be.

I'm not sure how much clearer they can make it without border-line insulting people's intelligence. The answer is quite clear, you must buy a copy within your region, but it will not restrict who you can play with. It's spelled out very clearly.

They didn't screw anyone at all....the sheer ammount of orders made the CE copyes to last minutes at every retailer ( and all the other tipes )

Maybe I wasn't clear when I said it but that's what the guy told my dad, that they had no collector's editions today and we'd have to get them tomorrow, not that they sold out and he was too late, they wouldn't have a 2nd shipment in the next day if that was the case.

I played GW2 beta to lv 27, and tried all classes to lv 10 or so, and i can say its not up to the hype people think it is

Its mostly a cheap Console port (Xbox), when you play it you will know what I mean.

The game is OK, but not great or amazing how you see it on youtube.
More or less its just Generic with different mechanics.
(Select X Mob, Press 1-5, Kill X mob, that's it)


Every single skill you get at lv 1 is unlocked, 1-80 you get nothing, you dont feel any character progression.
The skills that you get 1-80, are all passives that add 1% there, 3% to that, thats it.

Elite skill, and skills 6-0, all have high cool downs, 60-300+ seconds, you dont use those to kill stuff, there mostly a 10 sec mini buffs.

So yeah Generic Grinder in a nut shell...

For a Buy to Play game GW2 is pretty good, but not as high quality as Pay 2 Play game that's for sure.

I would say Tera is way better buy and you will get more out of it then GW2.

But that's my opinion.

The amount of WRONG information in here is just...astounding. You were never in the beta. Stick to your youtube videos.

And also, the next beta will be on the 20th, it was leaked a million times, then quickly changed to "last week of April".

Are you a frequent traveler? A desktop would've been a much better choice, even if it was still Alienware.

Not a frequent traveler, but i do like to have the option to bring it anywhere.. and for it to be lighter and more portable than a Desktop.

I'll most likely build a desktop eventually.. & have Both :]

At LEAST Felore is accounting his experience and quoting some hard facts (as long as they aren't exaggerated). Thinking that TERA is better doesn't make him look stupid - it just means that he likes TERA better when he compares and contrasts his own personal experiences together.

And if you can't accept the fact that people are using legitimate facts to rain on your GW2 parade, maybe YOU should get out of the forums in general, because this is a place where opinions are more welcome than your bad attitude.

First of all while he is quoting "facts" he's not looking at them in any depth at all.
In fact, just because he called GW 2 a "generic grinder" and stated that TERA is any better (in ANY perspective), deserves him a bashing of a life time. Why? Because GW 2 tries to break every negative mmo feature known to man; to grinding for xp, items, raids, gear-based-pvp, time consuming crafting, etc.
So yes, if you make such stupid remarks as in calling GW 2 a generic grinder while clearly the developer's goal is to break away from this trap ALL mmos fall in out there, you do deserve to be called stupid.
If you grind in GW 2, you're dong it wrong.

Their website is completely broken, for one it says "You will be emailed a receipt within a few minutes. If it does not show up soon, please contact support." but in the header is says "Error!" and on top of that their support button doesn't even work...

Not the best start imo.

Are you saying you waited until now, the time when everyone and their mother is going to be spamming their website in order to download the game, in order to prepurchase?
