So long as nothing game changing is in the CS, I'll be happy.

Also, SEGA...please no more re-skins. I still remember the day you released photos of the Dark Falz mission and we saw you just re-skinned him as the ice worm ****er.
I honestly remember that being the last straw for me, and why i finally quit.(after the effed economy, and super late patches)

Will it also be f2p in USA and EU or JP only?

Nope. I apparently received a newsletter which informed me on how to apply for an invite. 'tho, I doubt I'll be lucky enough to get a place.

That and, the requirements says that you have to be a resident living in Japan.QQ.

It goes something like -> Login to the account management page -> Click apply for PSO2 B -> Accept Terms and Agreements or something -> Done.

Yeah, I figured it out. Turns out that I had already applied sometime before, because the sign-up button told me that I was already a registered user.

Not sure if I can get in though, since I'm not a JP resident.

good news indeed, and i was hoping sega would take it back to it's roots.

just to point out for the kiddies here who never owned a seganet account, PSO was free to play, until version 2 when they released the hunters license. the PSOPC(not blue burst) was free to play, but was technically only released in asia. if memory serves it had a full english translation and was planned for us/eu shores.

I suppose we couldn't call PSO F2P "technically" since we DID have to buy their system and the game =P

I still turn on my gamecube to play PSO from time to time, RAGOL I MISS YOU

I am a little surprised they went F2P with this one. I wonder if it will be more like a F2P trial with pay to unlock features. Either way, I always kind of liked the P2P community from PSOBB and PSU PC. Still hopeful for this game though.

I just hope we get some news about the US in the near...ish future. I have been going nuts without a Phantasy Star fix and PSOBB is starting to get a little bit on the stale side after so much time. Not to say I don't still enjoy it but it's not like there's anything new to see anymore.

I agree with you there. Maybe if a US version comes about, they will decide on a P2P model.

P2P on multiple platforms would be a bad idea. B2P maybe, but not P2P. Free to play is a smart choice in this case cause many people will try it. Also, I have no idea why you guys would want to pay 35 a month for a hub based MMO anyway or did we forget that Japan pays more for MMOs then other countries?
