Default Hilarious Look at Browser Game Format

Came across this article on MMOHut today from one of Spunkify's close friends.

Couldn't have described the current trend of browser empire builders any better. The custom pictures were a nice touch as well

Looks more like a knit-picking and mockery of a certain calibre of games.

There are as many good games as there are bad and to me it seems this is just another "Hey look! It's Rebecca Black! Let's all make a thread and mock her which will promote her even further."

Though no specific games were mentioned in that article.
Entertaining read overall and shouldn't be taken seriously.
The custom pictures were funny though.

Such a true article, I've always enjoyed finding a good browser game for fiddling around with but you can't seem to do that easily these days because the market is far more saturated than it was like, 10 years ago.

The thing that makes me laugh really hard though, is that the companies that make these really crappy strategy "games" also shit out about 2~4 copies of the same game just with a new coat of paint. Dragons of Atlantis/Thirst of Night being the easiest example that I can recall.

Sad but true. And the saddest part is that there are still plenty of them being released every month. Most of them are really horrible and there is only a small amount of browser games that is actually unique or really good.

I'd give this thread 5 PURPLE STARS, but I'm strongly against rating anything.

While most companies milk players... There is a certain niche social-community in browserbased city building strategy games, which is what makes the gameplay interesting for those who fit that niche.

Theres alot of browser games that are pretty fun.. I won't deny being hooked on fb games here and then, they are good time killers.

They attract to a broad market as well.. I know a handful of older people 40+ who love them, They haven't needed to put money into them either, it's just if you want to get ahead faster.
