    Default Lageon

    Hi everyone!

I would like to recommend you a fairly new browser-based game called Lageon. It is made by czech developers (skilled czech hands :P), but it has a brand-new english interface along with a separate world for players speaking english

Lageon is a traditional online browser-based multiplayer game with lots of features, providing a wide range of gameplay options, tactics etc. It is set in the era of greek mythology.
After registering, you start with a hero and a small village, which you will continuously upgrade during your progress. Players collect money from 4 basic materials and taxes. There are 5 available professions for the hero and every profession provides various, individual bonuses in the game. In many similar games, players have their village placed randomly and automatically. In Lageon, players can choose their preferred place to build their village. They can also move their village whenever they choose to do so. Players can join an alliance, or create one and cooperate with other players.

Lageon also provides many special features, for example conquering dedicated cities (Sparta, Athens etc.) There are 30 cities and the alliance, which conquers all of them, wins the game. It is not that easy though. The battles require special tactics and thousands of units.

Another special feature is the premium membership. Players get various bonuses, using diamonds, which can be bought online. For those who don’t want to spend any money, these diamonds can be acquired by completing various tasks, quests and so on.

So if you are looking for something new, check it out

    Oh look a another

    "strategy" browser game.
Looky here too, a referral link! OH BOY!

What happened to there being, like, you know...variety in browser games? Shit when i was a kid you had turn based RPGS, runescape, neopets, newgrounds, etc. Granted the latter three do still exist but it's a real shame nothing new and interesting is ever getting made for the "quick and casual" platform of the browser game genre. Instead it's all Facebook and THIS SAME GAME, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Granted this one has a few more features than most of these games...it still just feels like the same god damned thing.
    /rant, bad day

P.S. I know I can't get too mad at the devs. Out there somewhere are people who just play and pay for these things over and over, and it's tough(as a company) to make something innovative or different since there are jobs on the line.

Well it was originally made for the czech/slovak mmorpg market, and believe me, there is not so many games like this one there And it is quite successful there, so the devs decided to expand a little I understand there are hundreds of similar games, but people still play them and some people even pay for them, which IMO makes it worth for the developers. And there is no copypasta involved in this one. I am just helping the devs.
