@Jin-Roh:
The notion that the Red Cross keeps it's profits is ******ed.
Whom do you think they would give it to.
Even if you say paying the employees is a form of "keeping the profit", that would be at the same time services of those employees at the value of this money given to the people they aid.
Money can't drive you to the hospital, especially if you think that paying the driver is unethical.
Wth...
The Red Cross has no owner, no investors and no dividend it pays.
All the money that goes in will be once spent on services committed. Well, if you are a charity, employing other charities to do charity work for you would be the absolute peak. Where do you think the money should go?
If you say give it to the people in need; Doesn't it appear to you that they would just again pay it to the red cross to drive them to the hospital in that case?
@Food and money:
Do you really think that?
It's so easy, you believe?
Like in "I could pull it off" easy?
Buy a ship, fill it with food, set sail, save the world?
Mind you I don't tell you to do any of that, because I really don't see it working out.
You can't do it.
Don't blame others who can't equally.
Funny however:
Buffet is one of the initiators of the "Giving Pledge" initiative.
Are you ready to give up half your net worth?
Don't see you doing that either.
