I need some. And I don't mean "muscle guy gets transported to dinosaur land and mates with hot neanderthal" type stories. I mean like "town gets transported to 1600's Germany" (1632 by Eric Flint, if you're interested) type time travel. Where modern people/groups/towns get transported to a different time and use their resources and knowledge to do something other than shit themselves and die slowly.
A good number of Kurt Vonnegut's novels.
His stories and his writing are so fantastic that all I can't recommend anything specifically, it's all amazing.
