So it's time for you guys to make me proud for once, taking into account I treat the tech corner like my own child. :x

Now, I need a LGA775 motherboard and a new PSU to resurrect my old gaming rig. This generally won't cost that much but I'm setting the cap at 200EUR.

The PSU needs to be able to power a GTX285, which would be at least 600w, 650w on the safe side.

I don't really need gamer-parts but instead, I need quality parts, be it gamer parts or not.

My second challenge consists of building a gaming PC.

This will most likely be one for around 1200EUR.
I pretty much only need a case and it's contents, so keyboards, mice, screens etc, I don't need.
I also have a couple of old, but golden HDDs so you can skimp out on those.
I have a copy of windows at my disposal.

Intel/nVidia preferred. Willing to take AMD GPUs if you can convince me. (I honestly doubt you can)
