OnRPG Game Nights

Hey guys.

It has always been kind of a tradition for game nights to be hosted during the summer. Bryan already attempted to host one but it did not turn out too well. My guess as to why it failed is due to the short notice given to the users. I have always hosted TF2 nights for the past two years but I am open to additional suggestions.

I would like to know who would be interested (meaning you will actually attend) and what kind of games you had in mind.

I am still up for TF2 nights as those have always been a blast but am open to suggestions. I was also thinking of maybe just hosting a Minecraft server that people could pop into whenever instead of having designated play times and act as our Game Nights.​

We want free games and Dota 2 is in beta so not everyone will be able to play it.

Interested, of course. But it really comes down to the date, time and game whether I can/will attend. Actually any game can be fun as long as it is played in a group (who are also playing it for the fun factor). But I am not willing to buy one just for this occasion.

TF2, I am not too sure about. Since I play it regularly and on a competitive basis too. Having fun AND trying to accomplish victory... isn't easy.

I am leaning towards setting up a Minecraft server this year. With FPS games the trend has always been that people always lose interest after 1-2 games. This hurts us a lot more as those servers cost a lot more to run. As with Minecraft, servers are not as expensive and it is ok if people just pop in or out, you still see the world around you develop.

Call of Duty 2. Pretty easy to get for everyone, and it's not hard to set up your own server even without owning a legal copy.
