No, you weren't. Honestly, I would have dropped her at the first lie (not telling you that her friend was really her ex).
The only thing you didn't do right was laugh at her face when she started crying.
I suggest you get some business cards printed out, that explain who you are and how much you DON'T GIVE A **** about what they think. So everytime some *** hole gives you a dirty look or thinks they should open their mouth to you, you can give them a real reason to think you're an *** hole, rather than some BS drama that they stick their nose in to because they have absolutely no purpose in life.
