    Default D&DO classes for me?

For some reason, I can't post anything on the forums even though I have an account.

So if you don't mind me asking someone who has hopefully played the game, for the type of combat it has and classes, I like the idea of melee fighting. I like being able to dodge, jump, hit, block, do combos, and so on.

But I also like wands and flashy spells, and in this game, since the bow seems less interesting, I kinda will take magic spells over bows and arrows.

So, which class would be best for me if I like things like that?

Well after reading the first part of your post, I'd suggest the Monk.

I used to play pen & paper D&D and the Monk was always my favorite class. I haven't tried D&DO yet but I'm downloading it now!

    But monk requires cash.

But, despite the fact that melee combat in this game is (or is suppose to be) fast-paced and I can block attacks with a shield, I still find it more entertaining to use powerful cool looking range spells and wands.

Oh, you're right -- Monk does require cash. I suggested that to you before my download was complete so I had no idea =)

I made an elf ranger and he's pretty fun to play so far but I'm going melee build so I wouldn't recommend it for you.

D&DO is a pretty awesome game so far, I've got the overview page for it up but still have to write my review.

For those of you who haven't tried it yet or don't even know what it is, here you are:

Well, right now, I'm trying sorcerer, and it's been fun so far. Firing my fire wand with 50 charges at everything real quickly and shooting enemies with a ice spell and setting them on fire by shooting flames from my hands.

From what I heard D&DO is quite a good MMO. It's an action MMORPG and fast paced so it keeps your attention but it also has a lot of depth.
