BASIC OUTLINE:
Lords of Evil (or LOE) is a free Flash, Browser based MMORPG. Along with many ways to build your character, set in medieval times, you can also build an army of mighty soldiers to protect and attack others in the game.
CHARACTER:
When beginning LOE you have the option of 3 races to choose from. Human, Orc and Demon. Neither of them is any better than the other, they are just the way you want to be
portrayed to others and yourself while playing the game. There are also 3 Servers to choose from each with their own world of players. Server 1 being the oldest and Server 3 being the newest. It is recommended that you join the newest server so you have a chance to catch up to the others but some like the challenge of joining an older server and trying to build up with the eldest players in the game.
BUILDINGS:
You begin with 1 city which is deemed your, 'Main' castle. Within this main city you start by building your resource buildings for Lumber, Ore and Gold. These are the main resources you will need to build everything else in LOE. From other buildings, to Skills, to troops, you will need these resources built up so you can build everything else.
Along with the resources you will also need to build up your Storehouse's for each resource in order to store more of each resource. There is also a, 'Secret Storehouse' which gives your resources protection from attacks. The higher level the Seret Storehouse is, the more of your resources will be protected if someone attacks your city.
There is also the, 'High Building' section for other buildings which also help in your resources (Refinery for Ore, etc.) among other things.
There are other buildings that are either required to build troops or will help you in becoming a more powerful Lord from Military Academy, to Recruitment Center, to Lord's Palace, etc.
SKILLS:
Skills are a necessity as well in order to construct buildings faster, build troops and enhance your skills as a military leader. From Leadership, to Military Training, to Scouting, to Sorcery, to Attack, to Defense, etc.
BARRACKS:
Barracks is where you build your troops. They range from T1 through T7 for fighting troops (the higher the T# the stronger the soldier). There are also Zombies to help your population, Cave Trolls to bring resources from players you have attacked cities back to yours, and plenty more.
CREDITS:
Credits are what you gain as you build your character. Credits are basically your way of building up in the LOE world. You gain them automatically as you build your Buildings, Skills and Troops. The higher your credits are, the stronger people know your character is.
GUILDS:
You can form or join a guild if you want. Being a part of a strong guild will make the game
more fun and help you in all kinds of ways. From 'Joint Defense' which allows guild mates to send troops to help you if you are attacked, to sending you resources if you need extra, to giving you a bonus to your resources in your main city depending on the level of the guild, etc.
CRYSTALS:
Crystals are used mainly in guilds to level the guild up higher.Holiness Crystals are used for guilds and also for yourself to level up your Military Rank and your Civil Rank. The higher your Military Rank the more bonus to Attack you have. The higher your Civil Rank, the more bonus to LifeLine you have. You gain Crystals by being in fights either defending your own castle or attacking someone else. They are also gained in StrongHold battles.
STRONGHOLDS:
StrongHold's are places guild's can occupy which give everyone in the guild a bonus to resources every day that the guild holds the StrongHold. You can attack another guild that occupies a StrongHold or another guild can challenge your StrongHold. If a fight ensues everyone in the guild who battles will possibly gain Crystals and Magic Tools.
GEMS & MAGIC TOOLS:
There is a way to pay money to help your character but it is not necessary. If you wish you can buy Gems through PayPal or your own credit card transaction in which you can use to buy Crystals to help your Guild level up, or buy resources or use the Magic Tools to make building something go faster. You can also use Magic Tools to help your chaacter. For example, if someone is attacking your city you can use a specific Magic Tool to make it seem like your castle has twice as many defenses and Troops than it really does for 24 hours. There are many other Magic Tools and ways to use Gems to help you in LOE.
Lords of Evil is a phenomenal game with excellent Flash based graphics and much to do. Like any free MMORPG browser based game it is not World of Warcraft. There are no characters you can walk around with and fight creatures or players. It is a click to attack game like most browser based games.
