I'm not playing it until Turbine releases a HTTP or FTP download. Pando (or any game downloader that utilizes peer-to-peer) is horrible, and I try to avoid them at all costs.

My thoughts?
Well, I've been playing through the closed beta and I really loved it. But this game is so restricted, that calling it free 2 play is a big exaggeration.
I'm giving most of new players a life span of, let's say, a month at best. When you guys reach level 25 or so, you will notice that you can't progress any further without paying...10 bucks for a quest pack that will keep you entertained for another month, 10$ to actually make some profit with an Auction House and not having the currency overflow.. the list goes on and on.
I haven't done any calculations, I don't know if the new paying model is better/cheaper than the subscription based...but anyway, it's still not a f2p game. If you want an example of a total transition to f2p, look at NFS World and what EA did with it - they've just taken down the lvl restriction, you can have everything in the game for free, and anything that will be released in the future will be obtainable for free too. Well, that's what the official info says at least.

The freemium LOTRO restrictions look decent but whats Priority login?
is it like if you queue up to login to the server if ur Premium or VIP then you get in quicker than the standard players (freemiums).
I can't be bothered to download it run now, long download because everyones queuing up in the download servers, ill either do it tomorrow, next friday/saturday or not at all. I'm trying out Archlord with Zherdev atm.

The priority login is whether you have to wait to log into the server or not. For F2P and normal subscribers..or whatever the "middle class" is, we have to wait in line to log in, and the VIP subscribers don't.
But it's no biggie, I never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes...on one of the most populated servers. Perhaps on the new ones you don't have to wait at all.

Things like these happen, when you are facing some especially fearsome enemies. If you have noticed, your max HP has decreased for this moment, too.
In normal instances or on the map, when you are dying repeatedly in one place, you'll get 'dread' points. These will decrease your health if you're gonna try fighting the enemies, which has just recently killed you. It's kinda like a small suggestion to get some better eq or lvl up before you try killing certain monsters. ;]

Yeah, I had that happen to me at about lvl 12..a boss pwned me twice, and then I decided to get a few other quests done (with gear as rewards) before I'd go back.
