Lord of the Rings Online worth it?

I really loeve this game. But is it even worth it to play if im only going to play F2P? And I heard in-game that if you register for ViP for just one month, you'll unlock all the bags, gold Cap, quest packs etc permanetly..can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks in advance

From what I remember, and that's pretty logical for me, you have the content unlocked if you maintain your VIP subscription. If you stop paying, you're gonna lost the things provided.

And about your other question... being a full time f2p is a waste of time in this game. It will be fun until lvl 25 or so, that's when you're gonna need to do micro transactions (at least for a quest pack, which is 650-950 TPs I think) to have a fun gameplay. ;]

Something like that. What irks me isn't the fact you need to remained subscribe to keep the benefits, it's the fact that I purchased the original game + the expansions for retail price before it went F2P and my account is still full of restrictions now and lacks a lot of content. I guess that's what I get for dropping $100~ on box prices for their title. Horrible way to treat your previous customers.

But what you said is on point; it'll be fun until 20 to mid-20s, then you're forced to buy content. I suppose you could just grind and grind and grind, but who wants to do that in LoTRO?

LoTRO F2P is a glorified extended free trial. To play the actual game you must spend cash.
