Dreddwar, that's a good rule for MMOs - playing till level 20 or so. I try to do the same as well. In general, it gives us a chance to try out any skill customizations, really try out the gameplay, explore a bit of the environment, etc.
Recently I hit 27/28 on Kitsu Saga and bounced over to Iris Online. I'm only about level 10 in Iris and it's pretty good so far.
No tips here except what others have been saying: try to be more social basically. Good luck on sticking with your games! ^_^
