The MMO-hoppers thread
I just figure that us hardcore mmo hoppers should have a thread where we can talk about hopping, how far we are getting in games, things we like about them and techniques for staying with an mmo.
My latest rule is to keep playing till level 20, no matter what. I just started Legend of Edda, and I also need to get to 20 on Fiesta I guess ^^

I find it that MMO Hoppers give rules on sticking with an mmorpg that even they don't follow lool.
Tired of Hopping? Play Zentia or Iris Online.
I don't know but I'm no longer an extreme hopper, I've calmed down and have been able to stick with Zentia now (for like 2+ weeks) and I'm lvl 20+ and I'm liking Iris Online which I will be back for in OBT and Full Release.
So you could probably say I've found my momrpgs to stick with.

Dreddwar, that's a good rule for MMOs - playing till level 20 or so. I try to do the same as well. In general, it gives us a chance to try out any skill customizations, really try out the gameplay, explore a bit of the environment, etc.
Recently I hit 27/28 on Kitsu Saga and bounced over to Iris Online. I'm only about level 10 in Iris and it's pretty good so far.
No tips here except what others have been saying: try to be more social basically. Good luck on sticking with your games! ^_^

xD I think any game can be fun if your really social. I still suffer from acute online soloing disease xD I just don't group easy.

However, you can always tell if you do not like some games. The second I played maplestory, I knew I hated it. I have since then gotten more than 4 charcaters to endgame and I have over 3k hours of play time.
WoW, I knew I loved, adn I do it, it IS a great game after all.
I thought I would love RoM, and it was awful.
So sometimes, like with Maplestory, I need to play till level 20. But sometimes, you jsut know.

MMOHoppers FTW! I try to get as high level on any game, till I get tired of it. Some games I played for 3 - 5 days. Then I went looking for another one. Now I'm staying with RoM, finally got into LOTRO & guess I'm gonna stay with Edda too. Trying to get Lvl-cap in a few games & stay with them for a while.
Omer really makes us hop games, he did that to me at least. xD

What I am starting to do is go back to games to give them a fair chance.
My rule is try out all classes and get atleast one character to level 10-15 before deciding if I like it or not.

Most games i get to level 2 and quit.
If the game isnt open world, has crappy interface, or starting off is really hard I ragequit withing about 5-10 minutes.
I was stuck on shaiya for about a year but then I left.
