My experience in Forsaken World

Sup guys, first of all my English sucks and im gonna write a lot, u do the math lol.

So yesterday i got accepted for Phase 2 of the CB but being the way i am i tried to log in the same day :rolleyes:, after a few minutes i was creating my character lol.

There are a tons of options to go with, some classes are normal for any other MMO others not so much. I was pretty pumped to see the "Tanker" of the game called Stone Men, its pretty different from the paladin/knight we see from other games, so as i ALWAYS go tank in MMOs that's what i did in this case.

I got dropped in the game and to tell you the truth i did NOT pay attention to the story but there seems to be one, I just wanted to lvl as fast as i could and with PWI path finding it was more than easy. The quests are OK for the part i saw, you get to go from killing monsters and talking to people to feed a green monster a wrench so he digests it and it becomes rusted, the quest i liked the most was this one with a Dwarf inventor that invented a "Grenade Luncher" to kill dragons and u get to shoot it at this BIG ASS dragon, it was pretty cool and actually pretty different from the cookie cutter MMOs.

So after like 30-40 mins. i got out of the "Newbie Zone" and here`s where the part i found horrible began lol, the first thing i noticed is that this city got my computer to lag A LOT, my computer is ok for the most part (HD4870, E8400, 4GB RAM), i was guessing that the code for that part of the game wasn't optimized or something cause i don't lag in ANY of the PWI games, so then i realized they need to use the "Performance Button" that PW has on this game since there's a bit of more stuff going on in this city than in others.

After a little while in town I was introduced to the pet system which seemed cool, u get to choose a turtle, a wolf or a goat (so far), i saw people mounting the goats so that what i went for but im guessing every pet has its ups and downs. The hatching system for the pets works good as well, u let ur pet hatch and the longer it hatches the better ur pet will be, another thing that got me excited was the fact that u get to control ur pet with skills and commands so its not like when u attack the pets attacks, its a little more complex than that.

Then the game did one of the things i hate the most, it filled my quest log, it gave me like 7 quests all together, some people might like that but i don't :P. By this time I was learning the jobs in the game but i got disconnected i guess i got busted or the servers went down cause i wasn't able to log back in :P.

So far the game is awesome, its fluid, the skills are great, some of the mechanics are also somewhat innovating (in my experience), im sure ill be playing this for a while.

The game sounds cool as how you discribe it I saw the first look and it is pretty decent. Since ppl are talking about this game all the time it is probably worth checking out. But im going to wait 9 more days for Vindictus

Lag? I almost have no lag in the city and i play on a laptop with a horrible graphic card . Have fun with the game, honnestly it's the best F2P out there. Add me ingame (magicalmage is my lvl 32 firemage and magicalvamp is my lvl 9 vampire, which i just created). PM me if you need help with anything .

Yes, i think it's your connection . If you like the beginning, you should definnently play more, because when you enter instances and do daily stuff, you are addicted. Like me xD.

The game is great indeed I was accepted into the beta from the begin. But quited alrdy after I hitted max cap with a assassin. I am not gonna play the other phases as well. Dont want to keep starting over and over my chars. I shall wait for now until the OBT then I am gonna play again for now I stick it to S.U.N.

Ok, ima do a quick update.

I got the chance to play in my lunch break today, and well i went from lvl 9 to 16 or 15 dont remember WITHOUT killing a single mob, just walking around (with the auto-pathing) from NPC to NPC. Also i played this "Tutorial" for the Alchemy job, i just had to click on a table the ingredients that this lady told me to take, so if she said powder, i clicked powder and then click on a pot, if she said liquid, i clicked liquid and throw it in the pot, etc. etc.

So far i haven't changed my mind about the game, there is A LOT of ppl playing and im inclined to think that my connection is the issue as Rhcpmikey said, cause if i drop all my stting to low it doesn't do anything.

Ill let you guys know how it goes when i start killing things.
