I think your missing the whole point of being in a "Alpha" / "Beta" test ...
and that word is "TEST"
You aren't there to play the game, your there to test the game.
To find those game crippling bugs.
To find those glitches that will cost others hours of work later on should they be discovered in retail.
This is why companies have testing periods, this is also why companies usually keep the earlier testing periods closed off to either in house testers, or a small group of trusted people in the testing community (or with a rigous online examination).
Simply put ... because there are far too many people that simply want to get in and play the game early, people like yourself .. people that seem more intrested in trying to get 1 up on the others by being there early, instead of actually testing things out, trying to break the game and push it to its limits.
Sadly, these are also the people that are at the head of the line to roast the dev's over an open pit for any little thing that goes wrong with THIER character or something personally attached to it ... anything that doesn't directly relate and/or influence thier character / game play, they could care less about.
Now you must be wondering where this is all coming from, seemingly out of the blue ..
I've simply been around a long time, and seen this more times than not, and it simply saddens me to no end when a company tries to put out a quality title, and you get these kiddies that come along and try to whine and complain through testing phases ... ya know ... instead of actually like ... test stuff.
