    More or less. You can think of it like Intel's hyper-threading technology on their i3 and i7 CPUs that make each core into two virtual cores, but instead of 2, it's 4 threads, and theoretically more stable :P

    huh, I haven't heard of that one, I did a little research, and it would appear to be the processor they introduced with the ps3 slim..? its a little hard to tell.. but .. so far from reading the wiki information on it, it almost sounds identical in ways of operation o.o

    It's the CPU in the PS3 since the very beginning. Only difference between the Slim and the original PS3 is that the Slim's Cell is manufactured on a 45nm fabrication process while the original was 65nm.
