Quick LOTRO Question

Sorry, didn't see a thread where I could make more simple type questions.

In LOTRO do you still have to pay for the expansions? So is it only free up to a certain point and then you'd get stuck in the lower level areas grinding unless you paid for the next area?

I know Murkwood is listed in their store (I play, but I'm at a low level) so I just wanted to see if I shouldn't waste my time on the game if I don't plan on buying a hefty expansion =/

Yeah, you would need to grind your head off, unless you buy expansion packs.
You can go to the higher lvl areas and grind as well, but you can't do any of the quests there.

But there's a way that you can get quite a few credits for the store: perks. Many of them are for killing X amount of monsters, and you gain a title + CS credits. So it is possible to buy something from the CS without paying a dime.
