I can't bear to play this game because IN MY HONEST AND PERSONAL OPINION, it is just like a maplestory private server with ugly character design. Maybe it is just because I have been playing maple on/off for around 3 years.

Reputation: 10So mapplestory is better then wonderking?
Reputation: 10I always thought of WonderKing being better than MapleStory.
You can double jump, and dash, which is a major bonus. There's enough quests to get you to level 60, it's not as populated as MapleStory so you don't always have to try fight for a good spot, it's got PvP.
Also it's not that hard to acquire decent gears as well, with the addition of the auction house, buying items off players, and selling them has never been better.
I heard combat was a little less spamtastic too. I just cant get myself to play it as practically everything I do in maple WILL translate to wonderking.
Reputation: 10Wonderking gameplay > Maplestory

If you plan to play, the admins have put together a video showing the latter classes skills if you want to view what you wanna be.
Paladin
Priest
Rogue
Ninja
Archer
Wizard
Gunslinger
Bezerker
My only real issue with the game is its balancing, and I mean PvE wise as well. It could've just been me choosing great classes, or my build or something though.
But the first time I tried it, I played as a Paladin. In which everything essentially did 1 damage to me, that when it came to bosses I could solo them 20 levels under the recommended level. I remember a boss that really hurt everyone, but the trick was to just run into it to get hit by itself, rather than taking it skilled attacks.
Then later on I acquired a skill that regenerates MP as well, so I rarely used MP potions, with the addition of heavy tanking...
Oh, but to top that, when I partied with a Wizard my DPS was much better than theirs was. But they could've had a bad build, too.
In Comparison though, Bezerkers did way more damage than me, but at risk of being heavily damaged too.
The second time I tried it was when they introduced PvP, and I went Gunslinger. Needlessly to say, I did really well as a Gunslinger, or it was another great class. Things hurt a little, but I did amazing damage to them.
But, this was some months ago (Over 3 for Gunslinger, over 6 for Paladin), so they could've done some major changes to the game.
I still recommend trying it, though as it's pretty fun and awesome.
Much like every game, it's all about the skill spam lol.I heard combat was a little less spamtastic too.
In the early levels, you don't really use skills that often though. You can, but it's a bit of a waste of MP potions.
Well in maple playing a mage is holding down a skill button with a paperweight and having your pet auto pot. The dual blade class was probably my favorite because you could link skills together any way you want, when the aran only has 2 combos.
Reputation: 10Cooldowns exist in WonderKing. The best way to really skill spam is to find a set of skills in which you can combo them together to make an everlasting chain of attacks.
