I've come to a point, where I don't expact anything of a game anymore, since the majority of all games was a let down to me. Trying doesn't hurt though. If it's fun - fine, if not - no problem.

    Does it suck in combat?

I don't get excited over games like this anymore.

I just messed around with Argo for a little while and I don't think it's as bad as I've heard, but it does feel like it needs some work.

Gender locked classes don't really bother me, I can always find a character that I want to play as, but what I don't like is NOT being able to create a character on the opposing faction's side after you create a character on one side.

The interface takes some getting used to, and it's kind of sloppy.

The combat feels a little slower than I was expecting. It feels more like a traditional MMO combat system. You can run around and shoot, but it auto attacks for you anyway.

Character models are kind of ugly, and the character customization seems pretty good at first, until you start messing around with other characters and you see that the customization is almost identical for all classes.

The questing interface is poorly setup, and why the hell is there soooooo much damn text for the quests? Who in their right mind would read all of that?

    On the plus side:

    - The game doesn't look all that bad graphically, it just has a different look than most games.

    - I like the Diablo style transparent overlay map. It makes finding quest objectives pretty nice.

Overall, I think Argo needs some more development time. In the short time I played it, the game client completely crashed on me and I had to kill the process in the task manager to make the game go away.

However, the game is still in an early state, and I don't like to pass judgment on games this prematurely. I didn't really dislike it, but nothing grabbed me and made me sit up and take notice. I'll probably give it another try someday, after the Beta is over.

Oh, ok. In that case, I'll bypass this game and play it another time.

    Thanks for the info.

I agree with you on almost all you said, except for one point. The game being open beta is absolutely no excuse for the messy things you correctly pointed out. Open Beta pretty much means final version for the f2p market and I can assure that they won't make such major changes that you'd really notice a difference in the gameplay. Plus what really made me try this game was the manual third person aiming. But as soon as you switch to that perspective, the game begins lagging heavily. Same with water - looks uber crappy, yet the game can't handle it.

The game's idea looks promising on the website. But as soon as I started the game I got really disappointed. The two races, supposedly different look exactly the same, the graphics are old and gameplay is choppy.

I can't think of any strong points this game may have, but then again I uninstalled it after 30 minutes. I cannot suggest this to anyone, except if they don't care that the game looks several years old (which probably is true, for whichever asian country it was made in).
