Basically, why does it takes months for an already existing game to be rereleased in a different part of the world? I get that translations, localizing, hosting, etc. needs to be taken care of, but is that really such a long process? In addition, are these companies announcing different region releases with absolutely nothing already prepared? I don't get it at all.
EDIT: And why are there different versions? MapleSEA is v.1.02 while MapleGlobal is v.96 and has an improved UI.
The longer they announce it ahead, the higher the hype will be and thus the higher the starting playerbase will be. A high playerbase then makes the game more attractive on which even more players join. So you have a quite high income gain when announcing early on.
Sometimes it's also because of a license conflict between two publishers that has to be cleared first.
