Okay, I'v made a big list of pictures to explain my problem. This is the tutorial I'm using for an example. This should be pretty clear, and if it isn't, I just wasted like 2 hours. Hope you can help.

1. Open Gimp.



2. Loading Gimp.



3. It's Ready.



4. New Image.



5. Press Okay.



6. It's Ready.



7. Render - Plasma.



8. Select Random.



9. Press Okay.



10. Layers - Desaturate.



11. It's Ready.



12. Tools - Colourize



13. It's Ready.



14. Set Colour.



15. It's Ready.



16. Dailogues - Layers



17. It's Ready.



18. Duplicate Layer.



19. Select Copy.



20. Filters - Gaussian



21. It's Ready



22. Set 13.



23. Press Okay.



24. Set Overlay.



25. Copy Render.



26. Paste Render



27. The White Stays.



It does that with every render I have. The white stays. If you can help me, please do. Oh, and also, can someone tell me how to resize the picture while your doing this? like the person who wrote the tutorial did.
