However, unlike many 4X games, Starjack Online gives players powerful tools to automate the routine tasks of their empire, removing tedium and the need for micromanagement.

your empire evolves and your conflicts occur in real-time
All actions in Starjack Online occur in real time – there are no turns. Populations grow and evolve, colonies construct and mine, fleets move and fight, empires rise and fall – all in real-time.
Extract resources, develop your colonies, launch your fleets, research new technologies and watch your empire flourish.

a massive universe with true persistence
Starjack Online supports thousands of players simultaneously all within the same universe and that universe features true persistence. All of a player's actions effect the environment and persist continuously whether the player is online or offline.
Almost everything within the Starjack universe is player created. From colonies to fleets, to ships and troops, to prototypes and resources, players generate almost all of the content. And players are given the tools to interact with and manage this content, so that it can continue to function intelligently, 24/7, regardless of their online status.
