Skyrim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who else is salivating for this game? I know its not a mmo nor is it free so this is WAY off topic, but I must say more than SWTOR, Guild Wars 2, BF3 , FireFall , PoE , and even D3 itself all fall short for me.

My absolute favorite game of all time was Morrowind and while I thought Oblivion was a great game it failed due alone to how much they took out of the series. (levitation, werewolf, spears, crossbows, mix match gear, throwing weapons, a difference in the race you pick, epic main quest) Many other things but it was still the 2nd best single player sandbox rpg, that alone speaks for the market on those types of games. So as long as the game surpasses Oblivion it will be fine with me and from what videos and interviews I have seen it looks to provide.

I won't tire your eyes with any more reading but feel free to leave opinions or expectations for this, what I hope to be epic game.

Not being pessimistic... but my expectations of Skyrim are low. Don't get me wrong; I love Bethesda and Elder Scrolls. I <3 Morrowind. I still have for Xbox somewhere... back to the point though... Games on most of the consoles have really fallen short of their expectations. Over hyped as you will. I still think it'll do better then any game that has been released to date, but... I think I'll wait till the game gets released before I make a decision as games have all really fallen short of what they claimed to be over the past year.

Agreed every game I have played has fallen short the biggest example I have was Fable the first one. I know its old but it is the perfect example of that Oblivion itself is a good one it was such a let down compared to Morrowind but like I mentioned it is still the best game that has been released since the ps3/360 era. I just mean in the last year. So many titles released, sequels even, and well... they just aren't very good. Fable 3, Kill Zone 3, Dungeon Siege 3 to name a few. Skyrims competition I would have to say would be Gears of War 3. GoW3 has been a game that held up its end of the hype, and delivered. I don't think you can find a third person shooter as polished and in depth as Gears of War 3.

Yeah I'm excited for this game too, but I also found oblivion to be a letdown compared to Morrowind so I'm kind of wary of the game atm. This will be the only game I'll buy for full price though other than Diablo 3.

Are you guys getting it for PC or console and why? Also are you getting a physical copy or digital? I'm getting it for Pc and probably physical.

Yeah that's the one thing I hope the PC version has the same with consoles. Achievements, it's fun to unlock stuff even if it doesn't really mean alot.
