Imo, Insidious wasn't so good. Maybe that's because I'm used of horrors. The idea behind the movie is interresting, though. But what happened to Horror-movies and scaring the sht out of you?
Horror-Movies:
Vanishing on 7th street (Soft horror),
Atrocious (Latin ghost movie),
Fourth Kind (Abduction Theory - True Events),
The Rite (Soft Demonic movie),
Grave Encounters (Ghost Movie?)
Not saying that most of the above are good, but some had an impact.
If you want a fantasy serie, perhaps, then I will suggest you:
Games of Thrones
Terra Nova
i'll be honest, these days, hollywood has put shame to horror movies. their movies simply consist of stuff jumping out of closets and screaming in your face out of nowhere 99% of the time. insidious was without a doubt one of the better horror movie ideas of this time. if you really want a scary movie, you have to go in time about 20 or so years, to when the greats existed. i'll give you just one suggestion and let you go on from there.
