Completing quests in every browser-based game is necessary in building, leveling and maintaining territories. It does not only help new players to learn the game’s system, but it provides special rewards that make the quests a lot of fun. It also gives the players challenges and thrills, which makes every game more exciting.

The quest system in Empire Rising is simple to follow. There are three classifications of quests: Current, Daily and Special. However, these quests are not present in all expansions. Current and Daily quests are cyclical and repetitive, which makes it a bit more predictable and a little less challenging. However, these quests may be cancelled, but the thing is, players can no longer return and redo the cancelled quest.

Current – shows the ongoing quests or quests that can be taken simultaneously. Each quest is designed according to the level of the empire. The difficulty of each quest gets harder with each level.

Daily – shows the quests that are taken on a daily basis. This includes the Alliance quests and the Daily questions. Alliance Quests can only be taken by those who belong to an Alliance, otherwise, it cannot. The Daily Questions, on the other hand, does not require membership to an Alliance to be taken, and may only be completed on a fixed daily schedule at 6:00pm-9:00pm. Both game features in the Daily Quest may be taken simultaneously. The player may choose to participate or skip the quests.

Special – shows the quests that can be taken anytime. Special quests are seasonal events which are designed to elicit aid or challenge the players in exchange of valuable rewards. Examples of these quests are Vampire and Hun invasions.

The Quest Window gives a detailed information regarding the available quests. Finished quests are tagged as ‘Complete’ and players can claim the assigned rewards. For resources rewards, the player must ensure that his resources are not in its maximum level before completing a quest. If so, the rewards may only be wasted since if it exceeds the maximum amount of resources that the level can contain, the excess will not be added again.
