I always always ALWAYS spend money on MMORPGs,
wherever I go I'll spend a huge sum of money.. I've tried to stop playing MMORPGs I spend money on and go on to a next MMO telling myself that I'll not spend a dime this time.. But I keep breaking my promises and spend money on MMORPGs wherever I go. This has to stop. Last night I spent well over around $40 on Cryptic Points. And thinking about another $15 on Gold Membership but I'm stopping myself. I don't even want to touch the game anymore or I'll spend more money... but then see, that $40 will go to waste if I don't play Ughh..
I really want to stop this burning a hole in my pocket issue.
It's like an addiction kind of thing where you can't stop and you keep on going.
I'm losing money that I could be saving up for an Alienware m14x laptop.
Would anybody know a way I could TRY and stop this burning a big hole in my pocket for MMORPGs issue? And don't say "stop playing MMORPGs" because MMORPGs is my life... I can't just stop playing those..
Has anyone had this kind of problem before, spending so much money and wanting to stop? How did you get yourself too stop?
I used to have this problem as well, but since I've been playing offline games rather than MMOs lately I don't really have this problem anymore.
Though should I return to spending the majority of my time playing online games, then I assume I probably will get this 'habit' again :P
As for a way to stop yourself from spending it I honestly have no idea..
Though you could try keeping all your money in cash rather than to deposit it on your bank account?
Since you can't really buy Cash Shop items with five-dollar bills
It matters as to what kind of life have you been living. If I go to my parents and tell them "Give me 20 Euro so I can buy this in-game sword." They will probably laugh at me and call me insane. Which I would do if I had a child and he/she asked me the same thing.
So it's different from person to person. I would never pay, even if i had billions of $. If I had that much money, I'd probably be worrying about other matters.
