Recently found out another game play plays a bit like minecraft (More on the creativity side than survival) called Blockade Runner. Its still in early (and I mean early) alpha. (Which means bugs) But the devs managed to have a functional Multiplayer component, and an editor.

The main focus of the game is heavily minecraft inspired (With infiniminer-ish graphics) where you spawn in a random point in space, spawn/build your ship and just do what you want. (At this point just fly around and shoot everyone)

But the devs have more planned features ahead, such as:
"Living" starships with a crew, weapons systems, engines, and oxygen systems.
Massive maps of space with planets, life, other ships, and more!
2-16 Player co-op and fierce PvP battle mods for intense fleet combat.
Occupations, dont want to be a starship captain? Be a merchent with a freighter or a miner (IN SPAAAAACE) and hollow out asteroids for thier valuable metals, or a notorious pirate!
and much more planned!
