The Intel i7 hexcores actually has 12 threads due to hyperthreading. While the Bulldozer uses actual pipelines, just think of the FX8000 series as quadcores with hyperthreading rather than the simulated sort Intel uses (both are somewhat gimmicky, but AMD's method does seem better design-wise). With that said, the Bulldozer series are essentially consumer versions of AMD's server lineup, and their uses are kinda limited in that regard (though they're quite good at calculations and stuff for compression and stuff for various reasons). If you just want a general gaming rig, just grab an i5, they're just better for more stuff, though the 8000 series aren't a bad buy for the price if you do decide to go that route.

But on topic: No, the Bulldozer FX8150 can't match up to the i7 3930K.
