I think I might be too weird for my own good.
Before successfully catching a bug (grasshopper) to bring outdoors it flew right into MY FACE.
Immediate reaction = giggle
Similar incidents have happened, pretty much either a grasshopper or moth, and the occasional beetle.
I end up treating them like I would a cat or dog, only tinier and likely to be eaten by a bird the second I turn my back.
I only seem to freak out if it's an obviously poisonous or biting insect, and if it's a spider I tend to be more cautious.
I DO worry that I'm a little too sensitive lately, because the idea of squishing any bug kind of bothers me.
That might have to do with a disorder I have (the sensitivity I mean), but anyways, onto the questions!
- How would you react if a grasshopper or bug like that flew or jumped into your face?
- Do you like bugs in a reasonable way (example: not gonna let roaches or ants take over just because they're cute ... not to say I do that) or hate them completely?
- What's your favorite bug and least favorite (or hated) bug?
