FFXIV download?

So I have always wanted to try FFXIV saw game stop had it on sale for $10 and bought it. Well their down loader gamestop app (impulse I am assuming) decided that it doesn't want to install my game and their customer support told my nicely to piss off.

So I was like no big deal it a major mmo so their must be a way to download it from my account after i register my key, I set up an account for 2 characters (pretty cool how you pay more for more chars etc cause I usually only make one char in mmo's any ways), but low and behold I guess FFXIV is so popular or something they couldn't possibly host a client download.


So am I just shit out of luck (haven't heard back from their support people yet)? Or is there some way to get my hands on the launcher to download this game? I am not very fond of torrents either so I would like to avoid using them but I am hearing that is literally the only way to get the client?

check amazon if they're kind enough, spam gamestop support or get a torrent.
