Default Trying to Introduce my wife to MMORPGS!

    Hey guys,

I am a hardcore mmorpg player. I enjoy them dearly. Unfortunately my wife is not a gamer. Im looking to get her into a game that both her and I will enjoy. Something cute, easy to play, not to complicated.

    Coptsoldier!

Try out Guild wars 2 when its released great buy to play mmorpg. Only thing cute about it are the asari race. The game is easy to play might be kinda complicated later in the game. But you will get used to it.

All MMORPGs are the same. There are only select few which have a high learning curve.

    Try Lotro. Something familiar.

First game i ever got my girl into, was something basic, simple and easy to pick up - Grand fantasia! (What a good time!)

From there we started to venture out onto other types, from cardmon hero - forsaken world...

NOW - shes mega hooked on Aion "Well shes looking about now".

Point is, my girl went from a non-interneter, to a hardcore gamers now.

    Gamer chick ftw.

Girls love cute games so maybe look at divina or soul captor online.

Both are recent anime inspired mmorgps.

Soul Captor is cute, besides you have a cute little anima you need to raise. Us girls love to raise cute little things.

League of Legends is very easy to pick-up, and if she does get addicted then there is an extremely-high skillcap.

maybe Aion pretty easy plus a lot of cute quests like, Where's Tutty where you have to find a guys missing pet. Now that I think about it maybe not that quest lol they ended up cooking him. But it is a great game.

I suggest Maple Story. Its really simple, and has alot of content now... once she gets tired of it move on to a good one like GW2 or Tera.

You could try Eden Eternal, Seal online or Trickster. Lucent Heart is also an option and Cosmic Break is pretty fun.

I don't have a whole lot of advice to give since I've always been a gamer and overly cutesy things bother me. I would say though that unless your wife is a fan of anime and that style of art stay away from those games with it. Sure, they're cutesy but they're actually too cutesy.
I would actually recommend trying out an older game. They tend to have easier mechanics. For instance I have a friend who loved playing City of Heroes, It is one objective at a time, the controls are easy and you never have to feel rushed because it isn't hard. When she tried out Rift she was overwhelmed, couldn't follow the fact that quests were in the world instead of instanced and most of all she couldn't keep track of what she was supposed to be doing and where she was supposed to be. That ended up putting her off MMOs completely.

A game doesn't have to be cute to get a woman's attention. If it has a compelling story and isn't difficult to play that means so much more than what it looks like.

Also, give her a bit of time to get a feel for the game you do pick before you start playing together. Make a coffee or something after you create characters. It will give her a chance to learn the controls without feeling the pressure that someone is waiting for her.
