    Default Holy shit, phone virus!?

I just reset my phone to factory setting. I'm trying to convince myself I'm not insane, but I don't know what the hell could have been happening O___O

I was browsing Facebook, and I heard this really odd sound. My ringer was OFF, so it wasn't a text tone. I had just had Pandora ON, but I put it on pause and MY MEDIA VOLUME WAS MAXED.

So, I'm sitting there and I heard a little noise. I thought it had come from my phone, but then I also thought it was my stomach making a weird grumbling noise. Then I heard it again. I thought I was completely crazy, so I checked my ringer volume. It was on vibrate. So, I put it on max, and made sure my media volume was on max. I spoke into the phone, there was no call in session. I looked at the uhhhh "accessibility" settings or whatever, and it wasn't turned on (the text to speech thing).

Then I heard, very clearly, an extremely faint "what?"...

I freaked out bad. I turned on Pandora, and my media volume was really loud - there is no way it was Pandora. I would have heard it clear as day. This was like a completely different thing. I don't have many - if any - apps on my phone.

I factory reset it in my paranoia. I have no idea what it could have been, but I'm still kind of afraid of the damn thing.

Anyone have any ideas? Believe me or not, I don't care. I'm terrified lol. And for the record, no, I'm not intoxicated. I know its a Saturday, but its not even noon yet. Give me SOME credit lol.

Hmm , you might have caught someone's conversation with the same Frequencies / channel etc. I don't really understand where the sound came from tho o.o.

Edit: Nvm , so it was your phone for sure , right?

Yeah I think it might be crosstalk.

Well that's... Creepy. Might be the thingie AkaSnake suggested, dunno much about this stuff. Ya oughta get AVG on your phone tho and run it through just to be safe.

    Slenderman?

In all seriousness it could have been a lot of different things. Viruses on phones aren't really common and they mostly track user data not do stupid things. As long as it doesn't happen again I wouldn't be too worried.

I've heard firemen having a conversation through my PC speakers before. That was kinda cool.
