How big of a deal is 128mb?

SO BASICALLY I'm killing myself because I can't get a new laptop (rather my parents don't let me). The only thing missing on my current laptop is a good graphics card and when I ran system requirements lab I failed in GW2 because I was missing 128mb dedicated to the game. The game requires 256 and I have 128.

Now is this a BIG BIG problem? I don't want to buy GW2 and see it fail and can't return the game.

You guys think it'll work missing 128mb?

I have Intel 4 Series Express Chipset family and I read somewhere somebody could run Intel 3000 HD graphics at about 30 fps (he suffers horribly from WvW). Can somebody tell me the difference in the two?

Well, no integrated card has dedicated memory, it's a part of the motherboard that uses a dynamic amount of system memory (possible up to 1gb-1.7gb, also depends on how much system memory is available).
The issue isn't the amount of memory the card can use, though, its the speed of the card.
The 3000 HD graphics' core clock frequency is 850mhz, and can be pushed to 1100mhz, whereas the Intel 4 Series Express is at a flat 400mhz.
The 3000 HD series can just barely keep up with the game at over twice the speed of the 4 Series Express.

In short: No, not even a little bit :/

If you can afford it, your parents can't really stop you. But if you want them to pay for a new laptop, then its unreasonable to be mad about them saying no.

Well yeah, I have the money and I'm willing to use my own money. My parents are SUPER ASIAN. If I buy it, I'm not sure what would happen to me lol.

In that case, just get it man.
